Arent subsidiary アサクラソフト has launched an AI business system for small and midsize construction companies. The system includes AI-OCR and AI chat functions, and the company says development was completed substantially faster than previously expected.
Amid a serious labor shortage in the construction industry and growing use of AI by small and midsize construction companies, アサクラソフト launched a new AI business system called 「使えるくらうどAI」. Its main aim is to use AI to support both field and administrative operations and improve productivity.
The system includes AI-OCR that automatically reads PDF files and images of estimates and invoices received from partner companies and extracts subject lines and itemized rows. It also includes an AI chatbot that allows users to ask how to operate the system in real time, with the aim of reducing manual data entry.
The development structure uses AI development expertise and tools such as Replit and Claude Code to establish a process for “building with AI.” The company is said to have shortened a development period previously estimated at 40 to 50 months to about 6 months, describing development speed as more than 10 times faster than before.
Going forward, the company plans to accelerate the development of an application-integrated platform that seamlessly links back-office and field data, and to expand the functionality offered as SaaS. It aims to turn AI use in small and midsize construction companies into a practical tool.
