RYOBI LIMITED is promoting vehicle weight reduction through aluminum die-casting technology. In addition to supplying automotive components in Japan and overseas, it is introducing large-scale equipment and pursuing environmental and workplace reforms.
Its core die-casting business produces lightweight, durable aluminum die castings and supplies body and chassis components and electric-vehicle components to automakers worldwide. It has production sites at 10 locations in Japan and 6 overseas, and its one-piece molding of large components, known as gigacasting, is also attracting attention. In March 2025, it began operating a large-product prototyping plant newly established within its Kikukawa Plant in Shizuoka Prefecture and introduced an ultra-large die-casting machine with a clamping force of 6,500 tons.
The architectural hardware business provides products such as door closers, while its electrically powered opening and closing system, RUCAD, has successfully completed an automation demonstration linked to a facility management system. In its printing equipment business, the company operates the RMGT brand and has developed Power Data Logger to support the transition to smart factories.
The company is also working to reduce its environmental impact and improve working practices. In addition to advancing mass production of recycled aluminum alloys, it has decided to install self-consumption solar power generation facilities at its Hiroshima East and Shizuoka plants. In March 2026, it received corporate certification for Hiroshima Prefecture's "Shared Housework and Shared Parenting" project, supporting the balance between childcare and work.
