Renesas added the ultra-small-WLCSP SLG46801 to its mixed-signal GreenPAK lineup. Sample shipments have begun, with mass production scheduled for November 2026, targeting reduced board space in compact equipment.
Renesas Electronics has begun sample shipments of the SLG46801, which uses a 1.155mm × 1.155mm ultra-small WLCSP package, as an expansion of its GreenPAK lineup. In addition to the 9-pin WLCSP, a 12-pin STQFN package is available to minimize board space.
The SLG46801 features multi-time programmability, enabling configuration updates and bug fixes via an I²C connection even after the device has been installed. Its supply voltage range is 1.71V to 5.5V in both operating and configuration modes, allowing sensing, control, and glue-logic functions to be implemented at low cost.
The device integrates two high-speed analog comparators, configurable lookup tables, counter/delay functions, an oscillator, voltage-tolerant GPIO, and an I²C-compatible serial interface. It is designed for a broad range of applications, including smart devices and IoT sensor nodes.
Mass production of the SLG46801 is scheduled to begin in November 2026. The device is positioned as an option for designs prioritizing GPIO expansion and compact form factors.
