The Governor of Saitama Prefecture concluded naming rights agreements for Sakitama Kofun Park, Kita-Urawa Park and Ogawa Genki Plaza, and new names were decided for each of the 3 parks.
A signing ceremony for naming rights agreements covering Sakitama Kofun Park, Kita-Urawa Park and Ogawa Genki Plaza was held on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, and the contracting partners and the parks' future names were announced. The park names were decided without a public call for proposals and include the names of the partner companies.
The new official names of the parks are “Asante Sakitama Kofun Sakura Park,” “佐伯工務店 Art Park” and “オーエンス・アイルG (Group) Ogawa Genki Plaza,” combining the partner companies' names with local characteristics. The governor attended the formal signing ceremony.
The governor indicated that the prefecture would continue its promotional activities so that the parks and facilities would become well loved by local residents. The agreements are expected to strengthen park operations and promotion.
