Sakitama Kofun Park in Gyoda, Saitama Prefecture, has been given the nickname ASANTE Sakitama Kofun Sakura Park, and a naming rights agreement signing ceremony was held at the Saitama Prefectural Government Office. The agreement starts on 1 October 2026 and runs through 31 March 2031.
ASANTE INCORPORATED was selected as the naming rights partner for Sakitama Kofun Park, and the nickname was set as “ASANTE Sakitama Kofun Sakura Park.” The agreement signing ceremony was held on 29 September, and use of the nickname is scheduled to begin on 1 October.
ASANTE INCORPORATED is a home maintenance company with a history of more than 50 years, with pest control at its core. In 2025, it launched a project to pass on Japan’s tree culture, aimed at preserving wooden structures and cherry trees. The company says it will also work to maintain the appearance of the cherry trees in the park.
In February 2025, the company carried out treatment to eradicate red-necked longhorn beetles affecting the cherry trees in Sakitama Kofun Park, contributing to the preservation of the landscape and trees. The naming rights agreement is intended to enhance the park’s appeal and contribute to the local community.
The project to pass on Japan’s tree culture aims to preserve historic wooden structures and cherry trees across Japan and will conduct awareness-raising activities on a broad basis.
