PLAUD unveiled its new AI earbuds, Plaud One, in Japan for the first time. With an eSIM, the device can connect in more than 80 countries without a smartphone and features an AI agent designed to support meetings.
PLAUD, a voice-AI device manufacturer, held a new product launch event in Tokyo on 21 October, unveiling Plaud One and Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition in Japan for the first time. A representative of its Japanese subsidiary took the stage and introduced the concept of an AI agent that understands conversations and work context and can handle tasks ranging from preparing documents to sharing information.
Plaud One is a conversational wearable combining earbuds with a charging case, designed to complete tasks simply by speaking. The earbuds feature 12mm dynamic drivers, ANC, Bluetooth 5.4 and LDAC, and support up to 6 hours of continuous recording. The charging case also has 4 MEMS microphones and an audio playback function for the AI agent, and can be used to control recording on its own.
Connectivity is a key feature. The Plaud One case comes with an eSIM as standard and provides free 4G LTE connectivity in more than 80 countries worldwide, including Japan. The company explained that the device can record calls and prepare documents in response to instructions during meetings, while the AI agent refers to conversation histories to handle tasks including summarization and sending emails.
Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition is based on a card-shaped voice recorder, with enhanced recording performance and automated data transfer. It has a slim design measuring 2.99mm thick and weighing 30g, supports 50 hours of continuous recording, features an AMOLED display, and includes automatic transfer to an iPhone. It will go on sale on 29 October at ¥29,700.
The company also announced enhancements to Plaud Intelligence, introducing artifact and connector functions to support document preparation, task management and information sharing, as well as skill, routine and memory functions.
