PLAUD announced the new Plaud One and Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition. Plaud One is an earbud-style device that enables communication without a smartphone, while the Note Pro Flow Edition is a card-style recorder that automates data transfer and summarisation after recording. The domestic launch date and pricing were also disclosed.
PLAUD held a new product presentation in Tokyo on 21 October, unveiling the earbud-style Plaud One and card-style voice recorder Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition in Japan for the first time. Plaud develops the “Plaud” series, which uses AI to transcribe and summarise audio from meetings and business discussions.
Plaud One has an over-ear design and is priced at ¥44,000, including tax. A limited-quantity launch in Japan is scheduled for later this year. The earbuds feature 12mm dynamic drivers, ANC, Bluetooth 5.4 and LDAC, and can record continuously for up to 6 hours on their own. The charging case also has recording capability and can record independently. Combined use of the case and earbuds provides up to 25 hours of continuous recording.
The charging case comes standard with an eSIM, providing free 4G LTE connectivity in more than 80 countries and regions worldwide, including Japan, and allowing connection to the cloud without a smartphone at hand. Plaud One can call up an AI agent through voice instructions, supporting meeting preparation and report creation.
The Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition is priced at ¥29,700, including tax, and goes on sale on 29 October. It has a slim design measuring 2.99mm thick and weighing 30g, with an AMOLED display. It can record continuously for up to 50 hours and automatically transfer, transcribe and summarise recorded data.
Automatic transfer currently supports iPhone. Once transfer is complete, the data is automatically sent to the app for transcription and summarisation. An expansion of Plaud Intelligence was introduced as a new feature to streamline document preparation and information sharing after meetings, with integration with Google Calendar, Slack and Notion also planned.
