Net Protections has begun offering merchants a new function that allows users of NP Atobarai's deferred payment service to switch to credit card payment after placing an order. The company says subscription commerce businesses can expect higher LTV and an improved purchasing experience for buyers following adoption.
Psychological resistance to entering credit card information when making a first purchase and the problem of cart abandonment have been cited as challenges in the e-commerce market. While NP Atobarai provides the convenience of allowing buyers to pay after their goods arrive, some buyers have requested the ability to change their payment method after checking the goods and to use card payments for recurring deliveries from the second shipment onward. In response, Net Protections proceeded with developing a new function for switching to card payment.
The new function allows buyers who placed an order using NP Atobarai to easily switch to credit card payment via an invoice or notification email. For recurring purchases, a single switch means that subsequent payments are automatically charged to the same card. The function is designed to be adopted without significantly increasing operational workload.
