アトラグループ has raised its full-year earnings forecast and now expects to swing from a loss to a profit. Although cumulative second-quarter results were in the red, the company has announced plans for a recovery in second-half profit and expansion of new businesses.
アトラグループ released its earnings results on 7 August 2026. Net income for the first six months of the fiscal year ending December 2026 was a loss of ¥45 million, down from a profit of ¥115 million in the same period a year earlier. At the same time, the company raised its full-year net income forecast from the previous loss forecast of ¥25 million to a profit of ¥15 million, putting it on course to return to profitability this fiscal year.
In the latest three-month period, consolidated net profit for April–June fell 49.3% year on year to ¥68 million, although the operating margin on sales improved from 4.9% to 9.9%.
Compared with the previous forecast, first-half revenue was ¥1,619 million, operating profit was ¥81 million, ordinary profit was ¥91 million, and net income was negative ¥45 million, prompting an upward revision to the forecasts. The new full-year forecast calls for revenue of ¥2,700 million, operating profit of ¥160 million, ordinary profit of ¥165 million, and net income of ¥15 million, marking a return to profitability.
The company highlighted the broader adoption of the A-COMS business and growth in recurring revenue from its subscription-based services. It also said sales of its own equipment, including the AtlaGauge neurovisualization and treatment-support AI device, remained strong. In addition, it said it transferred all shares of Pelican, a subsidiary engaged in the toy-sales business, effective 31 March 2026, making this a factor behind the upward revision to its earnings forecast.
The full-year earnings forecast was substantially revised from a projected loss to an expected profit. A recovery in second-half performance and continued expansion of business areas centered on the A-COMS platform are expected.
