NAKABAYASHI CO.,LTD. will launch the CD-sized horizontal-opening Compact Notebook nationwide from early October 2026. Designed to resemble a CD case, it features 180° flat-opening binding and is designed to minimize shadows when copied.
NAKABAYASHI CO.,LTD. announced the staged nationwide launch of the CD-sized Compact Notebook from early October 2026. The product is the same size as a CD case and uses horizontal-opening binding, making it comfortable to write through to the spine.
The product uses the patented Horizontal-Opening Notebook technology of 株式会社中村印刷所. It is designed to allow clean copying and scanning without shadows at the spine, and individual pages can also be removed for use as memos.
The CD case-sized design evokes digital items from the early Heisei era while taking up little space on a desk. It can also be propped up in a corner of the desk when stored, and is intended for use at home or in the office.
Specifications include a price of ¥800 before tax (¥880 including tax), 6 designs, dimensions of 142mm wide × 125mm high × 7mm thick, a weight of 85g, 60 sheets of high-quality paper, 5mm graph ruling, nationwide availability and a launch date of early October 2026.
