GMO-PP raised its operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending December 2026 to ¥800 million and increased its year-end dividend to ¥70.86. Operating profit for the cumulative second quarter was ¥558 million, a significant increase from the same period a year earlier.
GMO-PP's share price rose sharply for the third straight day. Factors behind the move included the upward revision of its operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending December 2026 from the previous ¥731 million to ¥800 million and the increase in its year-end dividend from ¥64.21 to ¥70.86.
The factors cited for the new earnings outlook were that revenue from the subsidiary primarily responsible for the company's advertising operations had exceeded plan and that overall cost-ratio improvements had progressed.
Operating profit for the cumulative second quarter (January-June 2026) increased 388.8% year on year to ¥558 million. Growth in revenue and cost controls may have contributed to the result.
