On 20 August, Fujitsu launched the Fujitsu Trusted Supply Chain Service, an information-sharing service designed to secure data transfers and communications across the supply chain. It is compliant with NIST SP 800-171 and operated domestically. Approximately 80–120 characters, conveying facts only.
The service is being introduced against a backdrop of growing recognition that strengthening security across the entire supply chain is directly linked to maintaining corporate competitiveness, while requirements under laws and standards in Japan and overseas continue to rise. In particular, companies are required to implement advanced security management meeting NIST SP 800-171 compliance requirements.
The new service is an information-sharing platform that enables data transfers and communications within and between companies in a secure environment compliant with NIST SP 800-171. It is being offered as Japan’s first SaaS using Exostar functionality.
Data is managed domestically at an ISMAP-registered data center, while Fujitsu provides monitoring and support in Japan. This makes a security environment based on global standards available for domestic operation.
The communication features are based on Microsoft 365, and Fujitsu is also considering, in collaboration with Exostar, providing secure AI capabilities. A similar service supporting US CUI is being offered concurrently for the US market.
