杏輝薬品 raised its consolidated gross margin to 45.4% in the first half of 2026, up from 42.7% in the same period a year earlier. August revenue rose 21.6% year on year, while the company advances collaboration targeting Japan and regulatory registrations and production-capacity expansion in ASEAN markets, and invests NT$700 million in a smart logistics center in Yilan.
On 16 September, 杏輝薬品 held an earnings briefing in Yilan, where Deputy General Manager Chen Zhixiao (陳至孝) highlighted the upward trend in gross margin and revenue. Gross margin reached 45.4% in the first half of 2026, an improvement of 2.65 percentage points from the first half of 2025. The company attributed the improvement to the transition to automated and digitalized manufacturing, a higher proportion of high-value-added raw materials, and product-mix optimization.
August revenue was NT$310 million, up 21.6% year on year. Consolidated revenue for January-August was NT$2.29 billion, up 5.83% from the same period a year earlier. The company noted that the improvement in gross margin was increasing gross profit per unit of revenue, indicating the quality of growth.
The highlight of the briefing was the formal announcement of an expansion of the Yilan plant site, including approximately NT$700 million of investment in a smart logistics center. Construction of the new plant and the acquisition of certifications are expected to take at least 2 years. The investment was described as a decision to address future development needs together with a backup plant.
Collaboration with Japan involving contract manufacturing and exports of cancer treatments has reached the shipping stage, and the company has acquired marketing rights for gastrointestinal medicines in Taiwan. Going forward, it plans to combine its own production capacity with its Japanese platform to enhance confidence in quality and capabilities across the Asian supply chain.
Cash and funding-wise, cash and cash equivalents increased to NT$1.476 billion in the first half of 2026. In response to a question about how to allocate approximately NT$1.5 billion in cash, the company cited investment in the Yilan center, production-capacity expansion, and working-capital and investment needs.
