SHINAGAWA REFRA CO.,LTD. has announced its sponsorship of the Bizen Ware Festival in Bizen, Okayama, and has acquired the naming rights for the event for a second consecutive year. The event will be named SHINAGAWA REFRA Presents: The 42nd Bizen Ware Festival.
SHINAGAWA REFRA CO.,LTD. announced that it will sponsor the 42nd Bizen Ware Festival, to be held in Bizen on 17 and 18 October 2026, and has acquired the event's naming rights. Accordingly, the event will be named SHINAGAWA REFRA Presents: The 42nd Bizen Ware Festival. Rifura-kun Bizen ware figurines, the company's corporate character, are scheduled to be sold exclusively at the venue's Bizen Chamber of Commerce and Industry industrial booth. A Rifura-kun performance is also scheduled as an on-site event on the 17th.
The company explained that the initiative is based on its longstanding ties with Bizen, where it has production facilities and a research center and has operated for many years. The figurines were produced under the supervision of Kaneshige Tōen and can also be used as chopstick rests. Through its sponsorship and vendor participation, the company also indicated its intention to contribute to the development of Bizen ware and Bizen City, as well as the preservation and promotion of local culture.
