SHOEI has added a new matte black colorway to the X-Fifteen 02 full-face helmet, which is eligible for FIM races such as world championships. The price is ¥88,000, and, like the existing colors, it is available in 3 colorways. Matte black uses a low-gloss matte finish and is said to have a refined appearance.
The X-Fifteen 02 is a racing flagship model developed through extensive wind-tunnel testing and research. To comply with the FIM FRHPhe-02 standard, it features enhanced safety, including a reinforced shield lock and improved rotational-impact resistance. The introduction of the new colorway involves a design change, with its matte texture distinguishing it from the existing colors.
The newly added matte black has a subdued appearance with less gloss than the existing black and forms one of the 3 available colorways.
