South Korean IT company GMISSION exhibited at Japan IT Week Autumn 2026, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, and showcased products that automate Japanese companies' paper-document and fax operations with AI. The company focused on functions ranging from document reading to integration with in-house systems.
The company's core document-processing platform, AX Intelligent Document, automatically classifies documents received by fax, email or scanning and extracts the necessary information. It also supports documents containing handwritten text, tables and seals, which are difficult for conventional OCR to process.
The platform can identify documents containing personal information and notify the responsible staff. It is also designed to redact personal information before the data is sent to AI and to operate in an in-house environment isolated from external networks. Use by financial institutions and public agencies is anticipated.
At the venue, GMISSION also introduced Agentic G-FAX, which uses AI to analyze quotations and purchase orders and support unit-price comparisons, and DXHUND, which classifies and summarizes received documents. GMISSION will continue developing partnerships in Japan and improving recognition accuracy for Japanese-language documents.
