ADEKA has launched the “Future Forecast Bu” project in Kamakura in collaboration with nalu, which develops regional co-creation initiatives mainly in Kanagawa Prefecture's Shonan area. Based on the concept “Three lives for every material,” the project aims to identify the challenges, needs and ideas of consumers and develop and demonstrate a new resource-circulation model.
ADEKA aims to establish a resource-circulation model that uses its technologies and expertise as a resin additives manufacturer to give plastics a second and third life through sustainable use, in addition to collection and recycling. With the cooperation of 関係案内所はつひので, a hub connecting the community and its people, participant discussions and demonstration activities have already begun.
The company plans to contribute to the promotion of resource circulation and the realization of a sustainable society through proposals for valuable materials and co-creation.
