Casio Computer announced the MRG-B2100HR-1AJR, a limited-edition model commemorating the 30th anniversary of the G-SHOCK MR-G. The case uses TI and COBARION and is based on the MRG-B2100, whose design centers on an octagonal bezel. As a special feature, artist Yuto Hirasawa (裕人礫翔) has hand-applied a lattice-patterned three-dimensional dial and platinum foil known as “suna-go.” Limited to 800 pieces worldwide, the watch is priced at ¥1.1 million and is scheduled for release on 13 November 2026.
The design features a lattice-patterned dial inspired by kumiki, a traditional Japanese architectural woodworking technique, along with foil-stamped textures by Yuto Hirasawa (裕人礫翔). Micron-level fine processing creates changing visual effects depending on the viewing angle. The bracelet and bezel also feature designs reflecting the artist’s aesthetic, with emphasis placed on the hand finishing and distinctive texture.
The exterior uses COBARION, DAT55G and grade 64 titanium, and features a shock-resistant structure and anti-magnetic watch functions. The movement is Tough Solar, with Bluetooth and radio-controlled timekeeping, and supports smartphone connectivity. Operating time is approximately 5 months with functions in use on a full charge, or approximately 18 months with power saving enabled. The case back is engraved with a 30th-anniversary logo and serial number.
