Casio Computer has announced the new GST-W1000 for the G-STEEL series, with a launch scheduled for 9 October. Its design uses multiple components and differentiated finishing to accentuate the texture of the metal while ensuring shock resistance.
The new GST-W1000 joins G-SHOCK’s G-STEEL series. Its exterior uses multiple components, each carefully finished differently to bring out the beauty of the metal. The watch launches on 9 October as a shock-resistant model.
The new construction combines 4 metal components without covering the center of the bezel, creating a more unified appearance. The design also conceals the screws on the sides, creating a smooth visual continuity from the bezel to the bracelet. The dial uses a nano-finished texture developed with technology from the company’s mother factory, creating a surface whose shading changes with the angle of the light.
The TOUGH MVT. 2 movement automatically compensates for the effects of shocks and magnetic fields to maintain hand alignment. In addition to the movement’s existing performance, the configuration is designed to provide more stable timekeeping.
G-STEEL is a series that pursues a tough design by applying metalworking technology. The new GST-W1000 is distinguished by its premium texture, achieved by applying different finishes to its multiple exterior components.
