After the close of trading on 8 October, アイビー化粧品 raised its first-half ordinary profit forecast from the previous ¥150 million to ¥210 million. It also raised its full-year ordinary profit forecast from ¥330 million to ¥390 million and updated its earnings growth outlook.
アイビー化粧品 announced that it had raised its ordinary profit forecast for the cumulative first half (April–September) of the fiscal year ending March 2027 by 40.0%, from the previous forecast of ¥150 million to ¥210 million. Ordinary profit in the same period of the previous year was ¥200 million.
Full-year ordinary profit was also raised 18.2%, from the previous forecast of ¥330 million to ¥390 million, with earnings growth expected to expand from 71.9% to approximately 2.0 times. The forecast for interim net profit during the fiscal year was revised accordingly.
The company cited an improved sales mix, including the launch of new products, as a reason for the revision. Although sales during part of the period were at the same level as in the same period of the previous year due to the impact of exceptionally hot weather, growth in orders for existing regular products in September contributed to the result. Cost of sales was affected by higher material and raw material prices, while selling, general and administrative expenses are expected to remain at the previous fiscal year's level.
