SUSMED announced that its unconsolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending June 2027 calls for a substantial increase in business revenue. Milestone revenue is expected to be recognized through the promotion of its DTx platform and Medcle app, while the company forecasts a significantly larger bottom-line loss after factoring in increases in research and development expenses and selling expenses.
SUSMED announced its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending June 2027. Business revenue is expected to be ¥838 million, up 68.7% from the previous period, while the operating loss is forecast at ¥461 million, the ordinary loss at ¥474 million and the net loss at ¥541 million. In the DTx product business, sales of Medcle, an app for insomnia disorders, are scheduled to begin, and milestone revenue is expected to contribute. The company has confirmed that ¥200 million in milestone revenue from Shionogi & Co., Ltd. will be recognized in the first quarter.
In the DTx platform business, operations including SUSMED SDS are expected to remain solid. However, increased research and development expenses associated with progress in the development pipeline, up 76.1% year on year to ¥435 million, and higher sales promotion expenses are expected to weigh on earnings. In addition, personnel expenses are expected to rise and costs are expected to increase due to expenses related to the relocation of the head office.
