Tokyo Game Show 2026, one of Japan’s largest gaming events, was held at Makuhari Messe, where SEGA and ATLUS of the SEGA SAMMY Group hosted demo sessions, exhibits and stage events. The booth was among the largest ever, featuring displays that conveyed the worlds of the respective titles and large screens.
The main attraction was STRANGER THAN HEAVEN, which featured a walkthrough museum depicting its 1990s-style setting across five eras and cities, as well as a theater including previously unreleased songs. The ATLUS area for Persona 4 Revival was also unveiled, with a statue of the protagonist’s Persona, Izanagi, installed as a photo spot.
There was also an area for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, where plans for collaborations with other titles in Season 2 were announced. At Family Game Park, visitors could experience Puyo Puyo-related activities and attend programming workshops, creating an event that children and adults could enjoy together.
The day before the event, SEGA TGS PARTY 2026 was held at ZOUK TOKYO. Approximately 1,000 people were invited, and the program included string performances, a DJ live set and music marking the 30th anniversary of Persona. Producers from the respective titles also appeared on stage, making it a program designed to build momentum for the main event the following day.
