A US company under Metaplanet disclosed that Nasdaq-listed Super League Enterprise had purchased bitcoin. Its total purchases to date amount to 15 BTC, and it plans to continue increasing its holdings.
An extraordinary report concerning the US subsidiary that Metaplanet plans to acquire revealed that Super League Enterprise had purchased bitcoin. Including this disclosure, the company’s total BTC purchases amount to 15 BTC.
It initially purchased 1 BTC on 10 October, followed by 2 BTC on 16 October and an additional 4 BTC from 22 to 25 October, bringing its total purchases to 15 BTC.
The company provides advertising for game users and marketing support for businesses. On 18 August, Metaplanet announced an agreement combining a contribution of 2,100 BTC with cash.
Following completion of the transaction, the company is expected to become a consolidated subsidiary, and Metaplanet plans to change its name to Superplanet. The transaction is expected to be completed in 2026 after filings with Nasdaq and other procedures.
