A new crowdfunding watch featuring Japan's traditional ichimatsu pattern has been launched. It comes in 5 versions, all measuring 36mm in diameter and powered by a Citizen Miyota automatic movement.
The new "ICHIMATSU" collection, the second new release this year, has been launched on the crowdfunding platform "WATCH Makers." Positioned as a classic business-oriented collection, it is characterized by a design that subtly expresses a Japanese aesthetic while incorporating an antique-inspired style.
The dial features Japan's traditional ichimatsu checkered pattern, with wedge-shaped indices. The hour and minute hands use sharply pointed alpha hands, with a design intended to create a luxurious impression through the interplay of light and shadow. This combines a vintage feel with a sense of refinement.
The watch is powered by Citizen Miyota's thin, high-performance Caliber 9039, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. The case measures 36mm in diameter and offers water resistance of 5 bar. The lineup comprises 5 black, white and turquoise versions, with early-bird reservations starting in the ¥60,000 range.
Product information lists the Outline reference YK20265-2BK-SVLB. The list price on Watch Makers is ¥88,000, early-bird reservations start in the ¥60,000 range, and availability is limited.
