The 25th-anniversary “Kyoto Heritage Shops and Fine Goods Exhibition,” an event showcasing Kyoto traditions through a contemporary lens, will be held at the event venue on the 10th floor of Nagoya Takashimaya from 21 to 26 October.
This event brings together Kyoto food, traditional crafts and kimono, offering a broad selection of autumn ingredient-based boxed meals, coffee shops and chestnut sweets. The selection of goods ranges from long-loved classics to new-generation items reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility, with 47 stores participating in total.
Kōchaho Jirobe will participate for the first time as a long-established shop catering to the lifestyles of a new generation. The event will also feature Maeda Coffee’s eat-in offering and organic cosmetics from Kyoto Chidoriya. Each participating shop will offer signature products and limited-edition items, allowing visitors to enjoy Kyoto’s autumn flavors and craftsmanship together.
Featured products include teas and tea confections such as the Kyōka set, Jakko and Yakumo; gourmet items such as sukiyaki rice boxes, autumn Kyoto-style boxed meals, apple pies and marron pies; as well as Nishijin-ori scented ornaments, washi products related to calligraphy, Kyoto candies and tempura rolls from Tempura Endo. Prices vary by shop, and some items will be available for advance sale or exclusively at the venue.
