Kyoto Tempura 天のめし will make its first appearance at the Japanese Products Exhibition hosted by Taiwan's leading department store, Shinkong Mitsukoshi. The exhibition will be held at each venue from 24 September 2026, marking the Ten no Meshi brand's first overseas appearance.
Kyoto Tempura 天のめし is one of the brands operated in Kyoto under the "Ten no Meshi" name, and opened a Gion location for inbound visitors in August this year. It will make its first appearance at the Japanese Products Exhibition hosted by Taiwan's Shinkong Mitsukoshi, offering tempura as an interactive dining experience in the form of a tempura rice bowl or tempura udon.
The exhibition period varies by store: Taipei Nanxi Store, 24 September to 6 October; Taichung Zhonggang Store, 8 to 21 October; Taipei Xinyi A11, 25 October to 3 November; and Tainan Ximen Store, 5 to 22 November. The addresses of each store are provided in the official announcement.
Ten no Meshi opened in Kyoto's Gion district in August 2024 and operates two concepts said to have high inbound visitor ratios: Kyoto Tempura 天のめし and Wagyu Tonkatsu 天のめし. In January 2026, it also opened Kyoto Wagyu Tonkatsu Ten no Meshi LA in Los Angeles, USA. The Taiwan exhibition represents another step in its overseas expansion.
The sales format is an interactive style in which visitors choose their preferred tempura, which is then served as a tempura rice bowl or tempura udon. Shinkong Mitsukoshi's Japanese Products Exhibition is held mainly in autumn at its major stores across Taiwan.
