BaitoL Talk, a communication app for part-time workers, won the 2026 Good Design Award organised by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. The winning entry was the app, and its award number is 26G181280. The award recipients are dip Corporation and iRidge,Inc. The app was recognised for addressing issues such as the cumbersome shift-coordination process at workplaces and the blurring of personal and professional matters through the use of private social media.
The design features cited include combining social media-style chats with a bulletin board for company-wide communications to enable stress-free work-related communication, allowing shifts at more than 23,000 stores to be coordinated in a survey-like format, and measures such as screenshot prevention and download restrictions to strengthen protection against information leaks. The judges praised the app for addressing social issues at the workplace and improving convenience through its focus on part-time workers.
The app is designed to run on iOS 17 or later and Android 9 or later, while the web version is intended for the latest browsers, including Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari. It is available from the App Store and Google Play. The official award page also provides an overview of the award and information on those responsible for the project, and expresses expectations for further development.
