Among the earnings results announced after today’s close, 銚子丸, アップル and 霞ヶ関C announced upward revisions to ordinary profit and higher dividends, with all 3 companies forecasting record profits.
銚子丸 raised its ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year from the previous estimate of ¥1.22 billion to ¥1.93 billion, putting it on track to set a record profit for the first time in 3 fiscal periods. The impact of promotional activities, including events and television commercials, lifted sales, while the year-end dividend was also revised up from the previous plan of ¥15 to ¥16.
アップル raised its ordinary profit forecast for the current fiscal year from the previous estimate of ¥930 million to ¥1.09 billion and sharply increased its year-end dividend from the previous plan of ¥10 to ¥15. The continued depreciation of the yen and strong performance in its overseas used-car export business are expected to drive profit growth.
霞ヶ関C raised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026 from the previous estimate of ¥24.0 billion to ¥25.7 billion, resulting in a higher profit growth rate. The company attributed the revision to the steady progress of development projects, including higher project earnings in its hotel business and the earlier sale of projects.
Today’s earnings results and performance revisions also include schedules for the following day, with companies reporting third-quarter results among those scheduled to announce earnings on 18 September.
