After the close of trading on 29 September, ダイトウボウ raised its consolidated ordinary profit forecast for the April–September period from the previous forecast of ¥50 million to ¥115 million. Ordinary profit was ¥3.6 million in the same period of the previous year. The profit growth rate is therefore expected to widen.
The revision reflects the decision to recognize during the cumulative second-quarter period part of the dividends received that had been included in the second-half forecast, following an extraordinary settlement of accounts by an investee company.
The revised figures for the first half of the current fiscal year are revenue of ¥2 billion, operating profit of ¥145 million, ordinary profit of ¥115 million, and net income attributable to owners of the parent of ¥85 million. The revised dividend per share is ¥0, and revised earnings per share are ¥2.9.
The full-year earnings forecast does not reflect the revision and the ordinary profit forecast remains unchanged at the previous forecast of ¥190 million. This maintains consistency between the first-half results and the full-year plan.
