HKS, a comprehensive tuning-parts manufacturer, has announced that it will begin full-scale participation in the JRC All Japan Rally Championship from the 2027 season. It is considering entries mainly in the JN-3 class and plans to enter the HKS GR YARIS.
Taguchi Katsuhiko (田口勝彦), who has a strong record in dirt trials, will serve as driver, with Kitagawa Sae (北川紗衣) as co-driver. HKS Rally Team has been formed to develop on-site decision-making and technical skills, with the aim of passing technical expertise on to younger team members.
As the first step in competition testing, HKS will make a one-off entry in Monterey 2026 in November 2026. The aim is to build experience in the JN-3 class and use it as a springboard for full-scale participation from 2027.
