HKS will continue its activities in the All Japan Dirt Trial Championship and the All Japan Rally Championship, entering the HKS GR YARIS in the JN-3 class. It plans to make a spot entry in Montre 2026, the final round of the 2026 season, which will be a tarmac event held in Gunma Prefecture.
The driver will be Taguchi Katsuhiko (田口勝彦), who has won three consecutive Dirt Trial Championships, while the co-driver will be Kitagawa Sae (北川紗衣), a four-time champion. HKS will form the HKS Rally Team by involving not only its racing division but also young staff from its product development division.
The JN-3 class is governed by regulations for performance-based vehicles such as the GR Yaris and WRX STI, with entries required to use either an RJ or RRN vehicle. The final-round event, Montre, is scheduled to be held in Gunma Prefecture over 3 days from 20 to 22 November.
HKS will continue to develop personnel and pass on technical expertise through competition rallying, while taking action as circumstances require with the aim of making a full entry in 2027.
