According to the announcement, approximately 48% of the allocation had been utilized on a share-count basis, equivalent to approximately 42% on a monetary basis. The remaining purchase allocation was stated to be approximately ¥34.7 billion, and the company explained that its original objective of increasing its Bitcoin holdings remained its policy going forward.
The company also disclosed that it had redeemed ¥8 billion through the early redemption of the 20th series of straight bonds and a change in the use of proceeds. The same type of change in the use of proceeds was said to have led to the expansion of the Bitcoin purchase allocation. The future Bitcoin purchase allocation is expected to be available for expenditure through April 2028, with the restored portion applying until then.
