An event featuring local gourmet dishes made with new-season rice from across Japan will be held at Isetan Shinjuku Store from 21 to 27 October. A diverse menu will combine regional specialities and local dishes from across the country with the flavour of new-season rice.
“it‘s my rice ~Local dishes from your town~” will be held at Food Collection on basement 1 of the main building at Isetan Shinjuku Store to coincide with the autumn new-season rice period. Products from regions across Japan will showcase the combination of traditional local flavours and new-season rice.
A total of 10 brands from Tohoku through Chugoku and Shikoku will gather at the event. Offerings will include Miyagi’s harako-meshi, Yamagata’s Yonezawa beef roast beef rice bowl and Niigata’s tare-katsu rice bowl made with Koshihikari rice, among other dishes using local ingredients.
Local dishes from regions including Kanto, Kansai and Okinawa will be available, including Isetan Shinjuku Store-exclusive versions and menus combining regional specialities. All prices are inclusive of tax.
Each brand will operate a stall at the venue during the event, offering a variety of flavours combining new-season rice with regional ingredients. Event details may be changed or cancelled for unavoidable reasons.
