In its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2027, Fujikura Group reported revenue of ¥402.0 billion, operating profit of ¥104.8 billion, ordinary profit of ¥111.5 billion and net income attributable to owners of the parent of ¥80.4 billion. Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, revenue increased 50.1%, operating profit increased 155.1%, ordinary profit increased 166.8% and net income increased 156.8%.
Total assets at the end of the first quarter increased by ¥101.2 billion from the end of the previous fiscal year to ¥1,010.7 billion. This was mainly due to an increase in current assets, including trade receivables and inventories, driven primarily by stronger demand in the Information and Communications business. Liabilities increased by ¥52.8 billion to ¥429.1 billion, mainly due to an increase in interest-bearing debt.
Net assets increased by ¥48.4 billion to ¥641.6 billion, mainly due to the recording of net income attributable to owners of the parent. This was partially offset by a decrease in retained earnings associated with dividend payments.
