Daigas Energy announced that it will begin construction to install solar power generation equipment using the roofs of Kowan’s Third and Fifth Logistics Centers in Bizen, Okayama Prefecture, to supply renewable energy to NTN Okayama Plant. Construction will begin in mid-October, completion is scheduled for the end of March 2027, and power generation is scheduled to start in April of the same year.
The equipment will have a capacity of 1,233.88 kilowatts, and the electricity generated will be supplied directly to NTN Okayama Plant via a private power line. Annual power generation is expected to be approximately 1.43 million kWh, reducing CO2 emissions by approximately 622 tonnes annually.
The project will use the roofs of logistics facilities owned by a business partner, rather than those on NTN’s factory premises. Daigas Energy will serve as the PPA provider and supply the electricity through its “D-Solar” solar power service.
