AeroEdge has a long-term contract with SAFRAN for titanium-aluminium blades for LEAP engines, and is pursuing a growth strategy built on its development from founding through spinout, listing, contract renewal and capital policy. The IR interview discusses the evolution of its business strategy and its plans for the future.
AeroEdge signed a direct trading agreement with SAFRAN in 2013 and began expanding into the aerospace sector. The company has set out a policy of broadening its growth into aerospace, robotics, medical care and energy, overcoming differences in perception between its operations and management, and established a new company through a spinout from Kikuchi Gear in September 2015.
In 2016, it signed a long-term mass-production contract with SAFRAN for turbine blades for LEAP engines, establishing the core of its business. It conducted third-party allotments and raised funds in 2018 and 2020, and listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in July 2023.
In 2024, the company decided to extend its contract with SAFRAN through the end of that year and is strengthening its financial foundation by using a syndicated loan for refinancing. Going forward, it is considering entering the MRO market and plans to expand its business based on certification and technical requirements.
In the IR interview, the company identified establishing a position in global niche markets and the strength of its people as key advantages, with a view to stable medium- to long-term growth centred on LEAP engines. Readers can understand that maintaining and expanding its long-term contracts and expanding into new fields will be the key areas of focus going forward.
