The “Hirakata Autumn Town Culture Festival,” organized by the Hirakata LOOP Executive Committee, will be held at Station Hill Hirakata, directly connected to Hirakata-shi Station, on Saturday, 14 November 2026. Under the theme “A town culture festival created by everyone,” the event will link 3 public spaces.
A corporate tug-of-war tournament and an urban picnic will be held in Nakaniwa and Soraniwa. A photography spot for Keihan Railway trains and other attractions will also be provided, with tenant companies, local businesses and Hirakata City working together to create activity in the area.
Kawaniwa will host hands-on events themed around agriculture and food, including a harvest festival held in cooperation with farmers and the municipal government of Hirakata, sweet potato digging, a farmers' market, vegetable intake measurements, a stamp rally and sales of desserts made by farmers.
The initiative is part of area management efforts to organically connect public spaces around the station, with the aim of enhancing local value and creating new activity in the area.
