リネットジャパン announced that it will conduct a private placement of new shares to JX金属CS, part of the JX Metals Group, and SGホールディングス, and that the 3 companies will jointly build an end-to-end collection platform covering collection and recycling. Announced on 19 October 2026.
リネットジャパン announced that it will conduct a private placement of new shares to JX金属サーキュラーソリューションズ (JX金属CS), part of the JX Metals Group, and SGホールディングス, and enter into a capital and business alliance with them. The 3 companies will jointly build a collection platform that collects used small household appliances, personal computers, smartphones and LiBs from households and businesses and connects them to recycling and materials production. The alliance aims to expand collection volumes, eligible items, users and collection channels.
Since July 2014, リネットジャパン has worked with 佐川急便 as a certified operator under the Small Home Appliance Recycling Act to provide a delivery-based collection service. It now works with more than 770 municipalities nationwide, as well as manufacturers, retailers and e-commerce operators, and the volume of used personal computers it collects has grown to one of the largest in Japan. The new alliance will leverage this foundation to expand collection volumes, eligible items, users and channels.
Under the alliance, the 3 companies will divide the responsibilities. リネットジャパン will be responsible for planning, building and operating the platform and expanding collection volumes, using the collection portal that serves as the collection entry point, its municipal network, and its marketing and systems infrastructure. JX金属CS will promote the recycling of rare metals contained in collected items by leveraging its technologies and facilities for analysis, smelting, refining and materials production. SGホールディングス will promote the development and enhancement of reverse logistics by leveraging its nationwide logistics network, sales infrastructure and expertise in delivery-based recycling.
