地域新聞社 introduced the AI Agent Subscription Support Program in September 2026 for officers, permanent employees, contract employees, commissioned employees and part-time employees who wish to participate. Eligible AI services are monthly subscriptions to ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro, with the company covering the cost.
The program aims to improve AI literacy and identify employees capable of using AI through personal use and self-directed learning. Use for business purposes is restricted, and the program is intended to facilitate knowledge sharing and program improvements while supporting learning and skills development.
Under the detailed terms of the program, participants may choose either ChatGPT Plus or Claude Pro according to their preference, and monthly subscription fees incurred from the application date through 28 February 2027 will be covered. The services must be used on personal devices with personal accounts, and use for business-related consideration or the input of confidential information is not permitted.
