Rengo, the leading corrugated-products manufacturer, announced that it will raise prices for paperboard and paper-converted products by 10% or more from current prices for deliveries from January 2027. The increase could also affect EC operators’ packaging-material costs and outsourced logistics costs.
Rengo announced that it will raise prices for paperboard and paper-converted products, including corrugated products, by 10% or more from current prices for deliveries from 1 January 2027. The size of the increase will vary by product and will be presented to each customer based on transaction terms and the history of previous price revisions.
Rengo’s paperboard and paper-converted products business includes paperboard, corrugated products, corrugated boxes and kraft pulp. The company explained that the increase is driven by higher costs resulting from global inflation, rising interest rates and escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The price increase could affect EC operators’ packaging-material procurement costs and outsourced logistics costs. If the costs of materials such as corrugated boxes and gift boxes used for deliveries rise, the increase could be reflected in costs charged by suppliers and outsourcing partners.
