JTP株式会社 announced that it had launched AI OCR Web as a new feature of “Third AI Generative AI Solution,” its third-party AI solution using generative AI. AI OCR Web reads paper and PDF documents and converts them into data without requiring configuration, with the aim of supporting the digitization and efficiency of business operations.
The feature is designed to handle a wide range of documents by combining image recognition and contextual understanding by AI. Users can select from 3 reading modes according to their intended use: field definition, management table and Markdown conversion. A function is also provided to automatically create a template from a sample document.
The company also highlights a screen layout that supports review and correction, a function that highlights the relevant sections of the original document and displays a review-required marker for sections with low confidence, a PDF splitting function and output formats including CSV, JSON and Markdown. These features are expected to facilitate the use of data after conversion.
As a track record for providing third-party AI, the company cites its experience supporting the safe use of generative AI at more than 150 companies since June 2023. It is reportedly planning to continue providing one-stop support for the development and implementation of business-specific AI agents.
