Renew announced that it will acquire all shares of i-plug and bring the company into its group. The transaction is scheduled to be completed effective 1 October 2026, strengthening integrated support for career education and job searches centered on long-term internships.
Renew operates the long-term internship job site “Renew” and the job-search information media outlet “Renew Magazine,” and continues to provide opportunities to students in their earlier years of study. i-plug’s main service is “OfferBox,” alongside services including “OfferBox mirai,” a self-exploration-based career support service for students in their earlier years of study.
The group integration follows an alignment of the two companies’ strategies, with the aim of expanding the business and the value provided to students. Going forward, the group will expand job postings and strengthen its career-adviser consultation framework, providing integrated support from students’ early years of study through their job searches through coordination between OfferBox and OfferBox mirai.
For companies, the group plans to use its connections with the i-plug group’s student base to create active opportunities for interaction and support early understanding of and recruitment from long-term internships.
