YOKOWO subsidiary Nanshin completed a new plant in Shinjo, Yamagata Prefecture, which began operations on 1 September. A completion ceremony was held on 9 October to mark its completion. Against a backdrop of growing demand related to generative AI, the company is strengthening its production system for micropipes used in semiconductor inspection probes.
The Yamagata Plant was newly built to manufacture micropipes for probes used in semiconductor inspection, and a completion ceremony was held on 9 October. The micropipes have a diameter of approximately 0.04 mm and are manufactured using Nanshin's proprietary electroforming technology.
Nanshin became a subsidiary of the YOKOWO Group in 2024. It is responsible for manufacturing micropipes for ultrafine probes and supports YOKOWO's production of semiconductor inspection probes.
Production capacity is planned to reach 3 million units per month in the first half of 2027, with the Yamagata Plant expected to account for 30% of Nanshin's total micropipe production capacity. The manufacturing functions of the Yamagata Sales Office will be transferred to the new plant, and production equipment will be expanded to meet demand.
