At a press conference following his appointment, Chubu Electric Power President Yasui Minoru (安井稔) stressed the need to rebuild the organisation and demonstrate results in order to restore lost trust. He said the company would work to restore trust through its future actions and results, and indicated plans to give concrete form to its current measures.
In response to the data falsification issue at the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, the company disclosed plans to relocate the Hamaoka regional office from the site to an off-site location approximately 1 km to the north and establish a new office during fiscal 2027 as part of its efforts to restore trust. The move is intended to strengthen its response to the local community.
In addition to plans to establish regional headquarters in Shizuoka City, the company will set up offices in the Chuto-Enshu and Shida-Haibara regions to strengthen its centralised local-response functions. These initiatives are intended to establish operational structures tailored to each region.
President Yasui Minoru (安井稔) has already visited Omaezaki City and the prefectural government since taking office, and is reportedly scheduled to visit the 7 municipalities within a 31-km radius of the nuclear power plant in the future. The company has indicated its intention to restore trust through dialogue with local governments.
