Azbil has delivered its cloud-based valve analysis and diagnostics service, Dx Valve Cloud Service, to Chubu Steel Plate's rolling mill in Nagoya. The service is intended to support stable operation of heating-furnace equipment and more advanced maintenance, with the aim of shifting from conventional time-based maintenance to data-driven condition-based maintenance.
As part of the deployment, 11 high-priority control valves used for combustion management have been connected to the service for continuous online anomaly diagnostics. This is expected to enable repair needs to be identified in advance, reduce excessive preventive replacements and lower costs. Going forward, Azbil will optimize diagnostic parameters and improve data-processing methods to reduce the risk of unexpected failures.
