セフテック announced its earnings after the market close on 30 October. Consolidated ordinary profit for the cumulative second quarter from April to September was ¥8 million, down 90.0% year on year and below the previous forecast of ¥79 million.
The full-year ordinary profit forecast was cut from ¥252 million to ¥165 million, with the projected decline in profit widening to 37.5%. The result is also expected to be lower than in the previous fiscal year.
For the most recent 3-month period, consolidated ordinary profit for the July-September quarter was ¥84 million, down 18.4% year on year, while the operating margin on sales deteriorated from 3.9% to 3.3%. In the second-half outlook, consolidated ordinary profit for the October-March period is expected to be ¥157 million, down 14.7% year on year.
