At the China International Industry Fair, which opened in Shanghai, more than 3,200 companies exhibited and the exhibition area reached a record 310,000 square meters. The practical application of humanoid robots and hands-on experience areas attracted visitors' attention.
The 26th China International Industry Fair was held in Shanghai, China, from the 12th to the 16th. More than 3,200 companies from 24 countries and regions exhibited, and the exhibition area reached a record 310,000 square meters, showcasing new applications of advanced industrial and manufacturing technologies across entire industrial chains.
Thirty-eight companies exhibited in the humanoid robot area, where applications were envisaged for repetitive tasks on manufacturing floors, including loading and unloading materials, palletizing and depalletizing, sorting, and transporting boxes. Humanoid robot development is moving from the research and development stage toward full-scale deployment at worksites.
Many booths featured hands-on areas where visitors could interact with robots, and technologies for incorporating embodied AI into daily life were also presented. The exhibition showed that the robotics industry is shifting its focus beyond technology development toward concrete applications in manufacturing environments.
