A demonstration trial using 扇泰丸 was conducted at Osaka’s Ajigawa No. 2 Berth. The vessel took on a total of 10kL of B24 blend fuel, and no abnormalities were identified during the trial run, confirming safe and stable operation.
The demonstration trial was conducted from 4 to 6 October 2026 aboard the chemical tanker 扇泰丸 at Osaka’s Ajigawa No. 2 Berth.
The trial used B24 as fuel. A total of 10kL was blended with B100 base fuel and transferred into the vessel’s onboard tanks, after which it was circulated and blended with A heavy fuel oil before being supplied. The fuel was transferred from the barge 幸旭丸 and blended onboard before use.
No abnormalities were identified in the engine or other equipment during the trial run, and safe and stable operation has continued since then.
