Sansan has entered into a sales agency agreement with SB C&S for its accounting transformation service, Bill One, and will accelerate nationwide expansion, including to regional businesses, by leveraging SB C&S's nationwide network of 15,000 partners. The agreement is dated 9 September 2026.
Japanese companies have moved beyond the “2025 cliff” and entered a transition toward AI-powered accounting transformation. While the digitization of invoices has produced measurable results, rising prices and labor shortages remain challenges, and improving accounting efficiency now requires AI to reduce the underlying workload itself.
The sales agency agreement between Sansan and SB C&S will strengthen the nationwide rollout of Bill One. SB C&S is one of Japan's largest distributors, with sales exceeding ¥1 trillion and a network of approximately 15,000 partners. Its specialist team, Cloud Service Concierge, handles more than 700 SaaS brands and provides expertise during proposals.
The core of this initiative is Bill One for Small Business, launched in December 2025 as a partner-exclusive plan combining functionality and pricing tailored to small and medium-sized businesses. The companies will promote its adoption among small businesses nationwide and improve the efficiency of invoice processing. By leveraging Sansan's AI-powered optical character recognition and high data-conversion accuracy, they aim to achieve a substantial improvement in invoice-processing efficiency.
Going forward, the widespread adoption of accounting transformation, in which AI comprehensively handles invoice receipt, data conversion, expense settlement and receivables management, will be key to improving productivity at Japanese companies. Through adoption among regional businesses, the initiative aims to promote the strategic role of back-office functions.
