Sansan and JCB have signed a partnership agreement to accelerate the delivery of sales support services using JCB's nationwide merchant network. The agreement sets out a direction for improving sales efficiency at small and medium-sized enterprises by combining JCB's payments network with Sansan's data capabilities.
Under the new partnership agreement, JCB sales representatives will be able to propose the adoption of Sansan to client companies. JCB has identified securing revenue from businesses surrounding its payments operations as a key strategy in its Plan 2028 medium-term management plan, and had approximately 72 million merchants as of the end of March 2026.
Notably, JCB itself is a heavy user of Sansan, with all employees holding a Sansan account. The ability to share practical, experience-based expertise aimed at embedding the system in the operations of adopting companies is expected to strengthen JCB's sales proposals.
Sansan's functionality extends beyond digitising business cards. Its company database has expanded to more than 3.3 million companies and covers data on small corporations and local governments. Through CRM integration, its AI can suggest the optimal timing for proposals based on past sales meeting histories, helping to enhance sales activities.
The collaboration between the two companies is positioned as a solution to the social issue of insufficient sales resources. By using their nationwide network, the companies may be able to broaden their reach to local businesses and small and medium-sized merchants, supporting digital transformation.
